A new award designed to recognise excellence in a communications campaign across the primary sector has been introduced by the NZ Guild of Agricultural Journalists and Communicator this year.
The guild has been running awards for journalists for around 30 years, and although it extended its membership to include communicators about 15 years ago, there has never been anything they could enter.
This year, the guild decided the time had come to make something happen, and so the Primary Sector Communications Campaign Award is now open.
The award is for an outstanding project or campaign undertaken by an communications company or agency or by a communications group within an agricultural based company. Examples could be relate to staff or customer relations, impacting an organistion’s corporate reputation, or community relations.
Entries for this award close on 21 September, with entry forms on the guild’s website.
Other journalism awards are also open, and entry forms for these are on the Guild’s website. These close on 17 September.
Nominations are also open for the Ravensdown Agricultural Communicator of the Year. This closes on 7 September. The nomination form is also on the Guild’s website.
